Hero MotoCorp’s HF Deluxe motorcycle has achieved a remarkable feat clocking more than 1 million unit sales in the financial year 2015. This fuel efficient motorcycle, which has been hugely popular in the rural as well as semi-urban markets, grew around 5pc during the financial year
HF Deluxe has thus emerged as the third Hero MotoCorp bike to clock annual sales of a million units, joining Hero Splendor and Hero Passion. The iconic Splendor – the world’s largest-selling motorcycle brand and Passion - have both been a million unit brands for years. The HF series – which includes HF Deluxe, HF Dawn and their erstwhile avatars CD Dawn and CD Deluxe – also achieved yet another milestone in FY 2014-15 by surpassing the 10 million unit mark in cumulative sales since the launch of these brands.
Hero MotoCorp last year surpassed over 60 million units in cumulative sales, and looks well on track to meet its stated objective of surpassing 100 million units in cumulative sales by the year 2020.
“HF Deluxe has remained the most popular entry segment bike in the country for years, and it is no surprise that it has clocked over a million units in both dispatch and retail sales this year. Every second bike sold in this segment is now a HF Deluxe, with its market share in excess of as much as 70pc in states such as Odisha and Chhatisgarh”, stated a Hero MotoCorp spokesperson.
